Role Description

The Part-time Junior Financial Accountant gets wide exposure to tasks within the Finance function, including assisting with financial close, improving financial and business processes, controls implementation, financial reporting and budgeting. In your role you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager, supporting our overseas offices, and be working with the company CFO.

We want to help you develop both professionally and personally - getting exposure to multiple areas in the Finance function and various personnel in the business is important for this. We will work together to create a dedicated development plan to help you skill-up and fulfill future career ambitions.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Note that responsibilities may be added or removed as deemed necessary based on the needs of the business.

  • Preparing the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports covering the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements at the end of the closing process
  • Maintaining ledger accounts and journal entries 
  • Conducting variance analysis with emphasis on deviations from budget
  • Designing and implementing financial and business controls
  • Assisting with the budgeting and forecast process.
  • Communicating proactively with stakeholders between departments to improve financial and business processes. 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • A recent graduate with relevant work experiences in a similar role or field 
  • Financial knowledge using T accounts 
  • Familiarity with accounting  ERP software is a plus e.g( Exact online, SAP or Oracle)
  • An entrepreneurial personality with analytical skills, and a strong eye for details 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Fluency in English written and spoken
