Technical Product Owner

Job description

Dashmote is currently seeking a Product Owner. This position is based in Amsterdam, and will report directly to the Data Operations Lead.

Dashmote is a start-up focusing on the next generation of data products powered by AI technology, with offices in Amsterdam (HQ) and Shanghai. We connect the offline and online worlds by decoding the digital footprint of locations, allowing our enterprise clients to understand the market and make smarter decisions.

With about 60 employees, Dashmote has ambitious plans in the upcoming years and therefore we need to make sure that we have the right people in place to put such plans into practice. Main Responsibilities:

  • Define functional solutions of the data products and features. Oversee the Agile development lifecycle from requirement to delivery.
  • Manage the product backlog, set the prioritization, and oversee the development together with the tech lead

  • Coordinate development efforts, timelines, deliverables with other product owners and product managers

  • Involved in creating the product roadmaps together with Product Managers and Product Lead

Job requirements

Your Background:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ relevant data engineering experience.

  • Experience with Python, AWS, and container technologies (Docker).

  • Good understanding of (non-)relational databases and data warehousing concepts.

  • Exposure to DevOps environments with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, etc.) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Cloudformation, Terraform, etc.);

  • Work experience of Spark and Airflow strongly preferred;

  • Full time availability.
